"...but to make the smartest purchases, you have to know what's really going on with your feet to begin with. That enlightenment came for me just a couple weeks ago when I stepped into a Foot Solutions in nearby Ardmore, owned by Cathy Neely.
The other stores provide some great shoes and some help with fit. This store provides a much more specialized approach, even to creating custom orthotics and a line of custom-made shoes. I'd heard the word pronate. Didn't really know what it meant til Cathy had me stand barefoot in front of a large floor-to-ceiling mirror, and told me to lift my arches. I did that a couple times, and then I saw it. Every time I relaxed my foot and let the arches drop, my inner ankles sank in, and the line of my calves to my knees turned. I was out of alignment. I actually had to sit down to absorb tghat one!
So now I have a new, much better-fitting pair of sneakers. I also have two new pairs of sandals that are very attractive, with a cork insole and good support so that I move easily and comfortably in them, and can wear them for hours at a time. My feet do feel healthier and happier, and, with the straps of my sandals designed to cut across my foot just so, my toes do look straighter!..."

"Foot Solutions in Ardmore put the spring back in my step! After a tendon injury left me unable to walk on my right foot and in a boot for 6 weeks, I never imagined that I would be left with a problem walking.
Orthopedic foot and ankle specialists, the boot, and physical therapy all got me back on my feet...but, I continued to have difficulty walking normally.

As a parking enforcer, I have been on my feet all day for 25+ years and have suffered with foot pain for many, many years. I had almost resigned myself to surgery but decided to make one last attempt at a non-invasive approach with Foot Solutions. Not to get too personal, but I've been struggling with a foot issue for almost a year now. I've been in constant pain and the only thing that has helped is custom inserts for my shoes and new shoes.
I got my custom inserts from a different Foot Solutions in Norristown, but when I went looking for new shoes, I went to the Ardmore Foot Solutions.
The owner was a pleasure to work with. When I say I literally tried on 20 different pairs of shoes, I am not exaggerating. I had a very specific idea in mind, but they were able to guide me to a better shoe that would help my issue.
Since I got the new shoes, my foot issue has almost completely disappeared. I don't have to hobble around anymore. It's a blessing.
Additionally, I found that they had a lot of great styles that would still look good. None of the shoes are cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but they are all top of the line brands (I price shopped online to make sure I paid a reasonable price).
I've now made the decision to pay the money for good shoes that help my feet versus cute shoes that destroy them. This store helped me with that. It's getting to be sandal season and I will be going back to the same store for more...
